If you don't have a list of your
own
Try using other peoples
lists.
There are a thousand
safe lists or more probably, and these few are
a tiny sample. Is it worth joining
them? It depends on how you use
them. If you want a reaction from people
bombarded with emails then all I can say is you
have to be very lucky or poke them really hard
with a great headline! There a thousand
opportunities to be lied to on the internet,
why should anyone trust you?
If you have a great free
offer or an original product it's possible that
you'll get a few clicks which is more than
none. You'll find out for yourself that even 10
emails a week from these lists rapidly
stretches your attention span past breaking
point. There are some very decent
people marketing successfully with lists and
many offers that come through may be of
interest. Many people however will have a
dedicated email address for lists and they
will rarely actually read many of them, if
any. These types of list are rarely successful
for niche businesses, marketers sign up for
them not the general public. So it's not a good
method for everyone.
Your own list is the only
thing worth having so start with that. Aweber
is fantastic. To get the benefit of a downline
with a minimum of emails back, first try the
Thunderlist and build it up and ffer it to your
own list. Sign up with the others and
offer people on these lists something
valuable for nothing so that people willingly
join your downline which is constantly
available. Promote your own list to them,
promote, promote. Marketing people give up
their email relatively easily if you offer them
something they can use. It's worth
trying.
Despite what I have done
here, use blogs or articles to promote your
list rather than banners, because banner
advertising really isn't one of the best ways
to get good response rates. Lastly if you want
to benefit from a list builder like this, be
considerate. Use the link where you found the
list and sign up under it; because let's face
it, if you want someone to sign up under you
and help you out, you'd want them to do it that
way - otherwise what's the
point?
